Exploring Telangana on Tricycles – A Journey for Inclusion
Tritour is a pioneering initiative dedicated to promoting accessible tourism in Telangana by touring renowned tricycle destinations. Our mission is twofold: identify accessibility challenges faced by differently-abled individuals and demonstrate the touring process through engaging episodic videos. This initiative is designed to provide comprehensive, concept-driven tour plans specifically tailored for individuals with disabilities, ensuring they can explore the diverse beauty of Telangana with ease.
India is a land of incredible diversity—where culture, traditions, languages, attire, and cuisine shift every few hundred kilometres. This holds true across all 29 states, including Telangana, which boasts a rich tapestry of historical, heritage, archaeological, and aesthetic treasures. The newly formed 33 districts of Telangana are home to vibrant tourist destinations, making it an exciting region to explore. Through Tritour, we aim to showcase these places while advocating for greater accessibility in tourism.
Vision & Mission
Tritour is designed to bridge the gap between the growing demand for accessible tourism, which accounts for 25% of global tourism, and the invaluable heritage sites of Telangana. Our goal is to open new doors by:
1. Providing essential information on accessible tourism destinations.
2. Advocating for improved infrastructure to ensure inclusivity.
3. Integrating industry dynamics to make tourism a welcoming experience for all.
This initiative aligns with the 2016 Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act and represents a significant step forward in making tourism more inclusive. Telangana is home to over 43 lakh differently-abled individuals, and Tritour seeks to empower them by enabling greater participation in tourism, recreation, and cultural exploration.
